About.
A little bit about me. I grew up in North Carolina on the Outer Banks. Its the kind of place where its understandable to forgo your actual responsibilities for a good surfing day. While on those small islands one of the defining points in my life happened. It was being on the swim team in high school. Not that we were good or even great, but it was when I finally started growing into myself.
After that I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and attended NC State for Computer Science. I did this for a number of years, due largely to a lack of motivation. The last couple of years I started doing work that other people took notice in, and a future career was looking good.
However, I told them all to wait and moved to Japan with my wife, Megan. We got married April 18th, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We played Guitar Hero at our wedding. We moved to Japan June 9th, 2008 to teach English for a year. Seeing Japan in a capacity outside of being a tourist has been a lifelong dream and Megan was good enough to come along.
When that is over, I hope to make my career making video games. Every nerd has the same aspiration, who else would put up with Computer Science, but I know I’m as smart as them, and what is even more important is that I have learned to be social.
